Projects

A list of shit I am working on.

  • YACS (GPL) – Massively improving the default client-side combat system; relies on FlexLife embedded scripting.
  • FlexCP (MIT) – Flexible control panel for OpenSim-based grids. (80% complete)
  • FlexLife (Proprietary) – Making the Second Life client more flexible with Lua embedded scripting.  Also promotes server-side Lua and will add in a proprietary anti-cheat system (FLAC).
  • FlexMarket (Proprietary; 45% complete) – Simple, yet flexible multigrid e-commerce.  Sell and buy products on many grids from one place. Will be integrated with our community forums.
  • nDB (GPL) – Free data storage service for SL scripts.
  • KeyDNS (GPL) – Object key DNS service for dynamically resolving an object’s key via simple HTTP requests.
  • Various other projects.

Hi I was wondering on the status of FlexLife and of YACS, im very very intrigued by both projects. I would love to check out Flex when it is released, the features sound great. LUA scripting for an SL client will rock. along with I think I saw somting about irc capabilities built in.

[Flex is being given the OpenSim Hippo Client code as a base, since the vanilla code is not compiling.]

Hmm well I hope that they continue with your projected features, the LUA is an awesome idea, and I would love to have IRC built into the client, been thinking about working on my own for some time but I never have the time. Working on my Bachelors in software engineering and home life takes about all my time up.

Hello, sorry don’t actually know your first name, anyway I found your site because I was looking into Opensim&Opengrid and alternative Clients, found Shoopedlife tried it and found it dosen’t work with the latest Linden Grid. Its probably just a minor tweak to make it work and you can do much better for yourself and your new Flexlife client if you have a working shooped and just make it do positive adverstisement for yourself and your new and much inproved Flexlife client. That way you will not put off potential customers(!), by letting them download and install someting only to find it dosen’t support the latest Linden Grid, which for example Hippo Opensim does.

Then I started looking at your site here and found your apology to linden, I do not know you, but let me tell you my initial reaction to it was: “is this guy a malicous hacker?” & “do I want to use his stuff?”. After I did a little more research and, thinking about it, I came to the conclusion that your probably ok and just doing a poor marketing job for yourself. I would not apologize to Linden for anything, much less publically (I am a programmer and been in the Software business since the 70’s). There are a lot of professional people very disenchanted with Linden and his business practices, nobody needs to apologize to him for anything. If I were you, I would just massively support the Opensim project, and after while Linden will come along to lick your boots(I kid you not). Just make it very easy to migrate from sl to other Opengrids, thats it. There are tons of highpotential business Ideas out there and in a more open environment (like opensim) you and many others will be able to implement them very successfully. Have a nice day.

[I'm working on other projects at the moment, but it's good to know that ShoopedLife is fucked.

I made the apology because several LL employees said that it would be a good thing to do in the eyes of LL, so I did it in an attempt to gain some sort of positive thing for LL so I would be able to eventually put up FlexMarket terminals on their grid without having to bandodge. Since I'm still banned, I've decided to put more support behind OpenSim, and I have been doing so, with FlexCP and eventually FlexMarket.]

This is all a bunch of crap. You all should know nexis has stepped down from the patriotic nigras and know is trying to make things right with ll. And by the way shoopedlife does work and maybe you all should do better research because you apparently do not understand the full concepts of nexis actions.

I think he is funny as hell, and I also found the Patriotic Nigras hysterical!! So now he wants to do something new, Good for him. I personally can’t stand LL and I think they are ban happy and with no proper information or reasoning either. They HARDLY do any real detailed investigating into what they are even banning you for. Hell you can hate a creator who has a bunch of linden friends and guess what, you will be gone! LL sux and the customer service is the worst I have ever dealt with. I hope someone does fix Shoopedlife so I can go on and cause mayhem on that stupid game. Nexis is doing something “good” now and LL is still banning him. Has much more patience then me

They may be banhappy, but right now I have a couple of interests in SL, both financial and social. Therefore, I have to grin and bear it until a commercially viable alternative (see: OpenSim) comes out.

And I do not develop ShoopedLife anymore. Stop asking for it.

Hey man, how is Flexlife going? I’m waiting a long time now i hope it’s almost done man! You rock!

Still behind closed doors since I managed to fuck up the rendering pipeline.

Hey, do you use NewWorldGrid? if so, contact me my account name is Trae Beaumont….if not, then try it LOL

Yeaaa….. SecondLife is a Load of bull . my computer is hardware banned because while age verifying they said it wasnt accurate and POOF -_- ugh

some girl hacks me… i call sl… they tell me there helpingg… they ask for a.v… i givee the age verification and they dont even think its right , i think i need to know waht fLexLife is is it like another version of secondLife that can still be accessed even if you are hardware banned?..

FlexLife is merely going to be Second Life – LL’s crappy rendering engine hellhole + OpenScenegraph + Lua scripting. It’s not going to be a griffer client.
