(Huge, read it after the fold)

I realize this article is going to be rather difficult to accept by all parties involved.  Linden Lab and customers have experienced a great volume (approximately 200+ accounts worth) of griefing, trolling,  and real monetary loss.    LL and customers will most likely discard this message with the assumption that I’m up to something, and honestly, I would not blame them after all I’ve done.  If I were in Linden Lab’s shoes, I would probably pursue the same course of action.   However, I’m going to leave this apology here on my blog and send more to Linden Lab employees and certain customers in hopes that someone will read it.  I’ll probably also get some angry phonecalls, 30 boxes and 12 dirty hookers courtesy of the PN membership I will end up pissing off, but whatever.  The PN is no longer a part of my future, so they can go fsck themselves with the business end of a rusty rake.

I have done some disrespectful, stupid, disgusting, and sometimes even downright vile things during my tenure as the Patriotic Nigras griefing group’s webmaster, coder, and occasionally even temporary leader when times were rough.  I have promoted discrimination against social/racial groups, destroyed virtual land, seeded malicious products, crashed servers, spammed wikis, eliminated groups and individuals from the grid, initiated false-flag campaigns against groups, scouted for potential targets, conducted surveillance on targets, coded ban evasion clients, and numerous other offenses.  All of the aforementioned activities have earned me nothing but a permanent mark on my record as a flamboyant jackass and possible criminal, which is a stupid thing to have, especially considering my upbringing among police officers, FBI agents, judges and lawyers.  I should have aimed for higher goals.  I didn’t, and, as I aged and finally graduated from college, I became ashamed of myself and my actions.   I have no excuse for my actions, and I realize that I have done so much that everything that comes out of my mouth rings hollow, so writing apologies at this stage is like trying to put out a forest fire with a wet fork.

Therefore, I have decided that instead of continuing to try and convince everyone verbally, I should make use of my talents in a positive fashion.  I have therefore started  several projects in support of OpenSim.  FlexCP (under construction, also on Opensim Forge) should be fairly obvious, even though I have been writing it under an alias in order to protect it and allow it to grow.  I am also planning a module for OpenSim that will enable security features (grid-wide bans/kicks, timed suspensions, and XMLRPC handlers for letting web services interface with them).  I am also working on a VAC-like (Valve Anti Cheat) system for detecting and tracking griefers and hackers before they can strike, in addition to a proxy scanner.  Hopefully further studies in computer science will yield heuristic griefer script detectors.

To those I have affected, be you Linden or user, furry or human, individual or group:

I wish to apologize for the shit I have pulled.  I have undoubtedly caused untold amounts of emotional and monetary harm to you and your customers, and most likely repeatedly.  Therefore, if you need any assistance, whether it be architectural, scripting, coding or (basic) texturing, please contact me at nexisentertainment@gmail.com with what you need and when you are available.  I’ll help you, free of charge and in a civil fashion in order to help make up for monetary damages.  Hell, if you just want to meet me and yell at me/throw me around in order to let off your frustrations, that’s fine too.  I will not help you, however, if you need someone griefed/the latest link to copybot or shoopedlife/etc.  In fact, I may end up reporting you.

To the Lindens:

Although the chances of this happening are nil at this point in time, if at any time you want me to make you something, like a proxy scanner or something, feel free to ask. I will do it for you free of charge.  In fact, YACS, an improved combat system that integrates with the client itself, was based off of a suggestion by Rodney Linden.  Also, if you wish to speak with me over any medium and for any reason, feel free to contact me, even if its to tell me to fuck off.  Although I know it’s not going to happen today or even this year, I do beleive I will eventually prove that I can be a productive member of the second life society.  Until then, I will be on the AGNI grid trying to improve relations with residents.  I don’t want to turn this into a drawn out thing like the Tizzers affair was, but I will, however, try to offset the permanent mark on my record by drowning it out with positive actions, whether I have to bypass a ban in order to build something for a resident, help a newbie fix their mic, etc.  If that means backstabbing the PN and getting my ass raided, so be it.

Although I have continually proven myself to be a giant pimple on Second Life’s ass, I beleive that I can prove the contrary: How I can be a productive member of the Second Life/OpenSim community.  In addition, I beleive that I can prove my potential through deeds, not through words. I have many skills that I can put to use for the Second Life community, instead of against it.  I therefore hope that the residents and Lindens reading this message decide to give me that chance, and allow me to prove my worth, even if that small sliver of trust comes with strings attached.
